ABOUT BERMAGUI MUDWORKS
Bermagui Mudworks is a Pottery Studio and Cafe nestled in between The Great Dividing Range and the Tasman Sea. Bermagui hugs the edges of its spectacular harbour and nestles under the shadow of Mt Gulaga.
Bermagui Mudworks has plenty in store for visitors; it's a great place to visit all year round.
THE POTTERS
Mike Collingham
Mike started potting when he was 14 years old. He has been potting professionally since 1975.
Originally from California he emigrated to Australia in 1980.
Domestic, functional ware, garden ware and custom one off pieces are his specialty.
He is passionate about his clay and his fishing.
Kim Collingham
Kim was born in the States and married Mike in 1978 and fell in love with pottery.She has been potting ever since.
Kim loves pottering, cooking, playing the mandolin and spending time with grandchildren.
HISTORY
Mike and Kim had a business called 'Earthtone Stonewares' in the States and then they emigrated to Australia in 1980 and started 'Beach Mountain Pottery' in the hinterlands above Surfers Paradise.
In 1983 they moved to Cooma and had 'Bubblegumby Pottery'and finally in 1985 they moved to Bermagui and opened 'Bermagui Mudworks'.
